Our father, Wayne Anderson, age 87, passed away on September 13, 2008, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on March 25, 1921, in Rockland, Idaho to Mary Ellen Catricia Hackman Lackman Anderson and James Harvey Anderson. He was the youngest of 11 children and the last of the children to pass away. He married Audria Lorraine Armstrong on July 30, 1944, on the Armstrong's family ranch in Robin, Idaho. Wayne and Lorraine had two children Jim and Jan. He is a World War II Veteran serving four years with the Navy as a Radar Technician. He received his Bachelors Degree form Idaho State College in 1954. Wayne began his career with Kennecott in 1954 and retired in 1983. He was a proud member of the Cottonwood Elks. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather; his family was everything to him. He loved to cook and his specialty was ham hocks and beans. Wayne has many many friends and enjoyed hobbies with his family and his friends from bowling, golfing, fishing, hunting and playing cards and will be dearly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lorraine and is survived by his daughter Jan Nielsen Reynolds (Randy); son, Jim Anderson (Roberta); grandchildren: Robert Norton (Jennifer); Elton Anderson (Brianne); six grandchildren and 11 (and a baby boy to join us soon); great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews located throughout the world. The family would like to give special thank to Wayne's adopted son, Ron Bernier, he was always there for Wayne. Also the staff at Love Hospice, Kim, Lisa and Jen. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South at 12 noon.
