Samuel Jenney, the next in the line now being traced, was one of the three Jenney children who accompanied their parents to America. By occupation he was a farmer and miller. He married Ann, daughter of Thomas Lettice, and had several children. His son, Lettice Jenney, who was one of the original proprietors of the town of Dartmouth, Mass., was the father of Cornelius, born December 13, 1697, who died at the age of eighty-seven, October 12, 1784.

Hw was married twice.

(IV) Cornelius Jenne, born Nov. 3, 1697, died Oct. 12, 1774. His wife, Elizabeth, died Oct. 12, 1743, aged forty-six, and is buried in Acushnet cemetery. They were the parents of seven children.
(V) Cornelius Jenne (2), son of Cornelius and Elizabeth, married Nov. 28, 1745, Eleanor Young, of Chatham. Children: Jethro, Levi, Benjamin, Cornelius, Timothy, Ichabod, Henry, Jabez, Jebezel and Rebecca.

On 28 January 1737 Ignatius Jenney, yeoman, and his brother Lieut. Cornelius Jenney, sold land to Elnathan Eldridge, mariner. His will is dated 3 September 1771. It mentions wife Elaner; sons Jethro, Levi, Benjamin, Cornelius, Timothy, Jehezel, Henry and Jabez; daughters Jean, Jemima, Deborah, Esther, Hannah and Rebecca. Few of the children's births were recorded, so the order is not clear.
