Burke, Amy Jane
MARSHALL

Amy "Beloved" daughter of Susan and Robert Opps and Peter and Lynn Burke died in her sleep during the early morning hours of Friday, Aug. 29, 2008. Amy's greatest joy was being "Mom" to Josh and Noah. Amy was the nucleus of her blended family and cherished by each and every family member. Despite her ongoing struggles with mental illness, she was quick-witted, had a great sense of humor and was always a joy to be around. Amy was a voracious reader and gifted family members with her needle point creations. Amy was an honor student and graduate of Sun Prairie High School where she enjoyed the competition and experiences through concert choir.

She is further survived by her brother, Andrew (Melissa) Burke; their son, Jack; sister, Maggie (Stephen) Pfeil; their children Michael, Owen and Carolyn; and other members of her extended family.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at 6 p.m. at ST. MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Marshall with Father Thomas Gillespie officiating. Family burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends may call from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the church. Memorials to an educational fund for Josh and Noah or to NAMI, Dane County, would be appreciated. Hart - Vick Funeral Home of Marshall is assisting the family.

Note: I thought she might be buried in this cemetery going by her obituary, but a Steve Seim ( FIND A GRAVE ID 47256753) looked and did not find her grave. If any body knows where she is buried at please let me know. She is connected to me threw her brother Andrew's wife (Melissa Hamilton family).
