GONZALES - Clare Malloch Dreyer, 104, of Gonzales, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002.
She was born Feb. 12, 1898, in Fentress, to the late Edward Malloch Jr. and Minnie May Johnson. She had attended Prairie Lea High School and was a 1916 graduate of Southwest Texas Normal School in San Marcus. She was Chaplain for the Gonzales American Legion Auxiliary and had served in all offices of the Gonzales Garden Club. She served all offices of the Gonzales Eastern Star and the Gonzales Methodist Woman. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors: sons, Donald Edward Dreyer and Ned C. Dreyer, both of Shiner and Roger M. Dreyer and Jene A. Dreyer Sr., both of Gonzales; 13 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: husband, Edward Henry Dreyer; daughter, Alice Lorene Cannon; parents; three sisters; and two brothers.
Family visitation will be 6-8 p.m. tonight at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel, the Revs. Jay Brown and John Murdock officiating.
Burial will be at Gonzales Masonic Cemetery. Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, Gonzales, 830-672-3232.
Memorials: First United Methodist church or charity of choice.
