A Juliaetta woman remains in critical condition at Deaconess Medical Center here after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.

Marie Cash, 52, was driving her 1992 Pontiac Grand Am on State Highway 3 south of Juliaetta when it collided head-on with a 1989 Nissan pickup truck driven by Mike Hogan, 26, also of Juliaetta. Hogan had pulled out to pass a car, according to the Idaho State Police.

Cash, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center at Lewiston by Juliaetta-Kendrick Ambulance, with head, leg and rib injuries, according to the ISP. She was taken from there to Deaconess.

Her 5-year-old grandson, who was also in the car, also was taken to St. Joseph's. His name and condition were not available. He was wearing his seat belt.

Hogan and his passenger were not wearing seat belts. His passenger was treated by the ambulance crew for bruises, according to ISP. Hogan was unhurt.
