A funeral was held for Charles Anerton, 80, of Madison today at the East Side Church of Christ at Athens at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Athens Cemetery. McConnell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sallie Cooley Anerton; four daughters, Miss Kate Anerton, Mrs. James L.[Maggie Elizabeth] Lynn, Mrs. James Bernice [Ellen Louise] Acuff and Mrs. Floyd [Betty] Aldridge; three sons, Charles Lee Anerton Jr., Jack H. Anerton and Nick Anerton; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
