Services were held Tuesday September 16, 2008 at 4 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church of Leesville with Rev. M.C. Greene and Sandy Guynn officiating. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville.

Mr. Rains is survived by his wife Pam Rains; daughter Amber Rains; step-son Michael Sanders, Jr.; step daughter, Kaitlyn Sanders; Brother Jerry David Rains; grandaughter Madison Sanders all of Leesville.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Becky Hicks Rains, parents Rosco and Ruby Rains, and brothers Thomas Earl Rains and Tommy Lynn Rains.

Larry was a life long resident of Leesville, graduating from LHS in 1975. He was an avid sportsman, a member of the Kurthwood Hunting Club where he was a charter member. Larry was a coach for his daughters softball teams and was a dedicated and loving family man. He worked for Ce Polk Contracting at Fort Polk.
