Irma was the daughter of Charles Arthur and Jessie (Hight) Magness. She passed away at Hurley Manor in Coalgate. She married Eddie Don Cox on Nov. 29, 1936 at Ada, OK. She owned and operated the Broadway Beauty Shop over 40 years. She was a lifelong member of Coalgate Church of Christ since age 16. She was a member of the Round Hill Homemakers Club and the Manor Volunteers. She is survived by her children, Donna Lou Beller and husband Jerry of Coalgate, OK, Jim Cox and wife Elaine of Coalgate, OK, Gayle Marie Pothoff of Midland, TX, Annette Sue Swindell and Bruce Miller of Coalgate, OK and Alice Kaye Culhane and husband Glenn of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Lisa Kaye Morgan, Jerry Keith Beller, Bo Don Cox, Rip Pothoff, Jim Pothoff, Crockett Cox, Audra Dawn Swindell, Alishia Gayle Culhane, Micah Swindell, Josh Beller, John Culhane, Jim Culhane and Rick Gutierrez; 16 great grandchildren; brothers, Jess Leroy Magness of Coalgate and Dr. Paul David Magness of Texarkana, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Cox of Coalgate on Sept. 22, 1989; her parents, Charles and Jessie Magness; son, Eddie Don Cox on July 22, 1938; brothers, Orvil, Floyd, J. W., Bill and Joe Magness; and sister, Lucy Eleanor Seita of Antioch, Ca on Feb. 28, 2003. Services will be Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 at 2 pm at Coalgate Church of Christ. Interment will be at Coalgate Cemetery with Mack Lyon and Frank Brewer officiating. Casketbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Keith Beller, Bo cox, Rip Pothoff, Jim Pothoff, Crockett Cox, Micah Swindell, Josh Beller, Jim Culhane, John Culhane, Rick Gutierrez, Zachary Morgan, Jerry Kane Beller, Colton Blue Pothoff, Hayden Pothoff, Jacob Pothoff, Noah Swindell and Dillon Williams. Honorary Casketbearers will be James Ferrero, Gilbert Blue, Eugene Cannon, Gary Coffee, Roger Barnes, Johnny D. Ward, Harlan Fairless and Keith McWilliams.
