Lawrence served as a Private with the 1st Delaware Infantry, Company F during the Civil War.

KETTLEWOOD--In this city, on December 24, 1913, Lawrence Kettlewood, aged 70 years.

Relatives, friends, Industry Lodge, No. 2, A. O. U. W., are invted to attend the funeral services at hisd late residence, No. 1115 West street, on Saturday afternoon, December 27, at 2:30 o'clock. Interment at Riverview Cemetery.

His brother, James Kettlewood, also served with the 1st Delaware Infantry and is also interred here at Riverview.

They were sons of Matthew Kettlewood ( 1795 - 1871 ) and Maria Hall Kettlewood ( 1801 - 1880 ).
