Served as a Captain with the 1st Delaware Infantry, Companies C, F & H during the Civil War.

His brother, Lawrence Kettlewood, also served with the 1st Delaware Infantry and is also interred here at Riverview.

They were sons of Matthew Kettlewood ( 1795 - 1871 ) and Maria Hall Kettlewood ( 1801 - 1880 ).

His grave originally was unmarked ... Mr. Tedd Cocker ... was able to order, secure and have installed a Civil War Style headstone for him. ( viewed to the left )
