She was born October 14, 1924 in Clay County, IL to Herschel & Gladys (Logan) Higgason. She married Dorse Wyman in 1942 at Louisville, IL. He preceded her in death. She later married Harold R. "Boscoe" Cantrell in 1970 at Xenia, IL.
She was employed for 17 years at Spartan Manufacturing in Flora.
She is survived by her husband: Harold "Boscoe" Cantrell of Xenia; daughter: Phyllis Hill & husband Ken of Riverdale,MI; step-children: Walter Cantrell & wife Barbara of Plano, IL, Dale Cantrell & wife Janice of Alamogordo, NM, Rita Byrum of Oakland City, IN, Charlotte Cummins & husband Scott of Port St. John, FL; sister: Helen Wyman of Flora; 3 grandchildren: Todd Hill & wife JoAnne of Harriman, TN, Tracy Hill & wife Robin of Columbia, MO, Stacy Hill & wife Iila of Thompson Station, TN; 9 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren & 1 step-greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband and 2 brothers (Lloyd & Harold).
Visitation will be held from 12-2 PM Tuesday, September 16, 2008 with private family services to follow. Burial will be in Oak Mound Cemetery, Xenia, IL.
