LEWISTON, Utah -- Funeral services for Ferderick Taggart, 73, formerly of Ogden will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the LDS Lewiston First-Fourth Ward.

Mr. Taggart was a member of the LDS Church and held all offices in his priesthood quorums, the last of which was group leader of the high priest quorum. He was a ward teacher for 60 years and a Sunday School teacher for 35 years. He served a mission to California and also a Benson Stake Mission.

He was a farmer and carpenter and also operated the Citizens Trading Co. store in Lewiston.

He was born July 1, 1877 in Richville, Morgan County, a son of George Washington and Clarissa M. Rogers Taggart. He moved to Lewiston in 1898.

On Dec. 17, 1902, he married Eulalie A. Leavitt in the LDS Logan Temple. With the exception of a winter in Mesa, Arizona and 2 1/2 years in Ogden, they made their home in Lewiston.

Surviving are his widow, eight sons and daughters: Walter L. Taggart, Homedale, Idaho; Mrs. A. W. (Ruey) Hyde, Mrs. Isadore (Verla) Olson, F. Edis Taggart, Lewiston; Mrs. Cecil (Janett) Hodges, Preston; Paul L. Taggart, Ogdenl Mrs. Roy D. (Myrna) Larson, Downey, Idaho and Mrs. W. M. (LaRee) Scott, Orangevale, Californial 30 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother, James Taggart, Lewiston and one sister, Mrs. Alice T. Bright, Lewiston.

Frederick Taggart, 77, died at his residence at 2 a.m. in Lewiston, Cache County, Utah of cerebral thrombosis on May 4, 1955.

He was born July 1, 1877 in Richville, Morgan County, Utah to Clarissa Marina Rogers and George Washington Taggart. His father was sixty years old when he was born. His occupation was a carpenter. He married Eulalie Leavitt December 17, 1902 in Logan, Utah. Surviving him is his wife.

Interment was made in the Lewiston City Cemetery on May 7, 1955.
