Margie Wynn O'Sheal, 87, of Greenville, widow of Lewis Frank O'Sheal, died at her home on January 6, 2009.

Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late James Benjamin and Julia Landreth Wynn.

A devoted wife of 54 years, she was also a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life exemplified Christian virtue as she cared for and guided all who knew her. She was the heart of her family and home.

Margie was a homemaker who graduated in 1938 as valedictorian from Berea High School. She was a member of Forestville Baptist Church and the Joyful Workers Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Lucia Loveland Mission Group, a former Training Union teacher, Vacation Bible School worker, PTA volunteer, and she worked in her community ministering to shut-ins.

She is survived by her daughters, Pat Wynn and husband Randall, Sandra Phillips and husband Robert, and Cheryl O'Sheal, all of Greenville; five grandchildren, Susan Kay, Karen Williamson and husband Bill, Randy Wynn and wife Cristy, Todd Phillips and wife Tracy, Lynn Mills and husband Josh; her great-grandchildren, Joshua Adam Kay, Ariel Susanne Kay, Colby Randall Wynn, Zachary Lewis Phillips, Jacob Daniel Williamson, Morgan Sara Wynn, Grayson Levi Phillips, Caleb Joshua Mills, Jackson Wyatt Phillips and Noah Thomas Mills.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Lucy W. Carter, Marie Wynn, Frances Wynn, Lethae W. Jones, James H. Wynn, Thalia W. Redding, Helen Wynn, Charles F. Wynn, Robert B. Wynn, Roy E. Wynn and Alvin Fred Wynn.

Margie is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Special thanks to Rose Ledbetter, her loving caregiver, and Winyah Hospice, who provided care and comfort to the entire family during her time of declining health.

Memorials may be made to the Forestville Baptist Church Building Fund, 2 Old McElhaney Road, Greenville, SC 29617.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2009, at Forestville Baptist Church with burial following at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Sandra Phillips, 359 Old Hunts Bridge Road.
