Born March 1, 1896, in Joplin, Mo., she was married to Herbert Denning in 1914. He died in 1918 and she was married to W. E. Hamill of Ness City on December 3, 1920. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1968.
Mrs. Hamill was a member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church.
She had been a resident of Garden City since 1917, moving to a ranch in Northeast Finney County from Missouri. She and Mr. Hamill moved into Garden City in 1937.
Survivors include 10 sons, Jim Denning, 515 Eugene, David Hamill, 515 Eugene, Willis Hamill, 706 Safford, Sonny Hamill 218 Spencer, Bob Hamill, Imperial Rt., Roy Hamill, Rt. 1, Fritz Hamill, Imperial Rt., Rex Hamill, Deerfield, Jack Hamill, Klickport, Wash., and Orval Hamnill, Spencer, Ind.; six daughters, Mrs. Opal Coen, Rt. 1, Mrs. Edna Filbeck, 515 Eugene, Cheryl Hamill, 218 Spencer, Mrs. Ann Paulson, Goleta, Calif., Mrs. Maude Foutch, San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Leita Gonzales, San Jose; a brother, Thomas Gatton, Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Bailey, and Mrs. Blanche Crosson, Fort Dodge; 43 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Garnand Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
