Maynie Belle Cole passed away Friday afternoon, Sept. 12, 2008. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Waco Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Carroll Hambrick will be officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at the funeral home.
Maynie was born in Sante Fe, N. M., to Phillip and Mary Murry. She married Thomas Cole on Feb. 6, 1943, in Sydney, Neb. They were blessed with one son, Don. Maynie had been a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church since 1952. She was an Activity Director at Greenview Manor Nursing Home and Teague Nursing Home and then worked in Arts & Crafts as a teacher at Waco Center for Youth until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy; son, Don; her parents; brother, Phillip; sisters, Lagatha and Daphne; and step-brothers, Jackie and George.
She is survived by grandchildren, Don Cole, Jr., of Arizona, Mary Stock and husband, Ray, of Utah, Tom Cole and wife, Debbie, of Weatherford, Texas, and Michael Cole, of Arizona; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
