Richard Kenneth Dunn 1926 ~ 2006 Richard Kenneth Dunn, 80, a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died December, 24, 2006 in Vancouver, Washington. Richard was born July 26, 1926 in Murray, Utah to Kenneth Vern Dunn and Vera Whetman Dunn. He served in the United States Navy in World War II in the Pacific Theater. Richard married Wanda Sjoblom in 1947 and they were planning their 60th wedding anniversary for March of 2007. Richard worked for 35 years for Ray-O-Vac corporation, moving his family to California and finally to Vancouver to settle and stay. Richard enjoyed being outdoors and was a Master Gardener. His other interests included camping, fishing, boating, and the world he lived in. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, at home; son, Kenneth (Janene), of Vancouver; daughters, JoAnn (Roger) Schlager, of Grain Valley, MO; Janene (Ron) Jacobsen, of Vancouver; Kathleen (Michael) Clemens, of Vancouver; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Dahl, of Midvale, Utah. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed by his family. Funeral services were held Friday, December 29, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Vancouver, Washington. Friends and family are invited to gather at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale, Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. and interment will follow at the Midvale City Cemetery.
