Daughter of George Washington Mullins and Malinda Hubbard Mullins. Wife of Arthur H. Flanary. Mother of Nannie B. Flanary, Robert C. Flanary, George W. Flanary, John Flanary, and Flora Jane Flanary (Wright). Five months after her husband died, Ellen was murdered at her home on Pert Creek. Her slayer was executed in Whitesburg on May 19, 1910.∼Floyd Frazier murdered Mrs. Ellen Flannery, a poor widow, in May 1902 [SOUTHWESTERN REPORTER STATES 1907]. He buried the body and covered it with stones. A search was instituted for her, in which the murderer joined. He later confessed. He was a member of a prominent family.
