Mr. Johnson was born in Connecticut in 1837 and came to this county in 1859. He always had a pleasant smile and ready word for all with whom he came in contact. He was a kind and generous neighbor, a devoted husband, and a kind and loving father. He had placed himself in care of his Savior and died with good will toward all mankind. He is survived by his wife; one son, Harvey, of Patchinville; and five daughters; Mrs. Emily Kerr, Mrs. Mollie Bennett andMrs. Annie Kerr, of Cush Creek; Mrs. Nancy Kanarr of Friendsville, MD, and Miss Fannie, at home.
