Agnes Lee (Dawson) Viers was the daughter of Robert Lee Dawson and Susan C (French) Dawson. Agnes' grandfather William M. Dawson is referenced in a report by the Anthropology Department of the Univ of Kentucky as being a major property owner in the town of Pitts Point, Kentucky. The cemetery once included a Catholic mission church. The foundation stones of the church are still visible in the cemetery. This cemetery and another Protestant cemetery are the only remaining remnants of the town of Pitts Point. It was subsumed by an expansion of Fort Knox in 1941.

Agnes married Alvin Clarence Viers on Feb 8, 1893 in Bullitt County, KY. They had five children: four sons and one daughter. Their first two children, Everett and Jesse, are buried in this cemetery.
