OBITUARY
Mrs. Dollie M. Patterson was born June 5, 1881 in Davis County, Missouri, to J. R. and Alice Dean Duncan. She departed this life on December 25, 1962 at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 20 days.
Mrs. Patterson came with her parents to the Ioland community in Day County, Oklahoma, in 1892. On August 9, 1900 she was united in marriage to J. M. Patterson at Arapaho, Okla. To this union were born four sons and one daughter.
In 1914, Mr. and Mrs. Patterson moved to Roger Mills County and then to Leedey permanently in 1943.
Mrs. Patterson joined the First Baptist Church, S.B.C., in Leedey in 1926, and remained faithful and active as long as her health permitted. After she could no longer attend because of ill health, she remained vitally interested in the activities of the church.
Funeral services were conducted from the First Baptist Church, S.B.C., in Leedey at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, with the pastor, Rev. Bill Donovan, in charge. Burial was in Shirley cemetery under direction of the Shaw funeral home of Leedey.
Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death in 1952 by her husband. She is survived by four sons, Bill of Tucson, Ariz., Duncan, Jack and Marshall, all of Leedey, and one daughter, Lavena Gilbert, also of Leedey; two granddaughters, Joy Harris of Farmington, N.M., and Jimmy Clem of Oklahoma City; four great grandchildren, other relatives and many, many friends.
