Emma Giles Brown, 90, of Paris died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, at Henry County Medical Center.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.
Tom Winchester will officiate. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
Chosen as pallbearers are Carl Ross Veazey, Stan and Duke Veazey, Jimmy Crosser, Tommie Harding and Jerry Bridges.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Born Aug. 1, 1918, in Henry County, she was a daughter of the late John and Addie Bomar Giles.
She was married on July 17, 1937, to Edward Franklin Brown, who died Oct. 18, 1990.
She was a homemaker and a member of Union Friendship Baptist Church.
She leaves one daughter: Nancy (Charles) Carpenter of Essex Junction, Vt.; two sisters: Mary (Richard) Kelly of St. Louis and Ruth (Lawrence) Mathews of Livonia, Mich.; and a brother: Joel (Carolyn) Giles of Parsons.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Helen Brown in infancy; two sons: Jerry Brown at 6 months and another at childbirth; and a sister: Margaret Giles in 2007.
