Gertrude "Gertie" Baer, age 83, of Canby, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2008 at Sanford Canby Medical Center.
Gertrude Irene was born to Fred and Rose (Wegman)Walter on August 5, 1925. She was baptised at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gary, SD. In 1943, she graduated from Gary High School.
On October 10, 1943, Gertie was united in marriage to Rudolph (Rudy)Baer in Fresno, California.
She loved gardening, needlework and reading. Gertie's faith in God wass inspirational to all who knew her. She treasured and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gertie is lovingly remembered by her three children: Roger (Sharlotte)Baer of Gary, SD; Dennis (Marilynn) Baer of Sawyer, ND; Donna (Dennis) Zinter of Dawson, MN; her seven grandchildren, Matthew (Tamara) Baer and their children: Rachel, Mason, Jackson and Aidan; Melissa (Mike) Smith and their children: Phillip and Emily; Travis (Sam) Baer and their child: Aurora; Billie Jo (Richard) Kreger and their
