Born August 23, 1922, in Colleton County, he was the son of the late Archie Kinard and Janie Ulmer Kinard.
Mr. Kinard was a self-employed farmer and was a member of the Sandy Run Baptist Church near Hampton.
He was married to the late Nancy Crosby Kinard.
Mr. Kinard is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Kinard and wife Gwyn of Walterboro, SC, Ronnie Kinard and wife Debbie of Johns Island, SC, Carl W. Kinard and wife Mae of Brunson, SC, and Randall Kinard of Houston, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Cook and husband Larry of Salsbury, NC, Shirley Holleman and husband, Bruce of Columbia, SC; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, at 4 p.m., in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home - Hampton conducted by Rev. Paul W. Reid, with burial following in Doctor's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Walterboro, SC.
