James Edward "Jim Ed" Aldridge was born May 12 1939 in Oakland City, Indiana to Mary Abbie (Church) and James William Aldridge. He served in the US Army. He married Alice Marie Howard on January 3 1964. He passed away August 21 2008 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville Indiana suffering from lung cancer. He is survived by his wife of 44 yrs, 3 daughters, Elaine Marie Atkins of Oatsville, Melissa Jo Cash of Velpen, and Allison May Aldridge of Winslow, 1 son William James of Winslow. Also surviving are 3 brothers William Samuel of Winslow, Timothy of Kentucky, Benjamin of Humble, Texas. 4 sisters, Joyce Dossett of Morganfield, Ky, Effie Wolfe of Mt. Olympus, In, Elsie Hartman of Severn, Maryland, and Mary Beth Aldridge of San Franciso, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Harvey Lee and a sister Miriam Elaine Aldridge.
