Mr. Peters, prominent in law circles in the state, served one term as State Representative from Winn Parish.
Funeral services were incomplete, but the remains are at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Winnfield.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Cummings Peters; two sons of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Payne, Midland, Texas; one grandson, John Payne; one brother, Hynes Peters, Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. A. B. Cox and Mrs. Edmond Simonton, Shreveport; and Mrs. H. C. Collier, Baton Rouge.
