Mark Brand, 67, passed away Sept. 3, 2008, at his home in Altus. Memorial services are scheduled for 10 am, Saturday at Kincannon Memorial Chapel with Derrick Kirby officiating. Inturnment will take place at the Garrett's Bluff Cemetery in Garrett's Bluff, Texas.

Mark Arlon Brand was born April 30, 1941, in Lansing, Mich., to Max and Henrietta (Feightner) Brand. He graduated high school in San Diego, Calif.

Mark married Sherry Bradford on Dec. 15, 1962, in Vernon, Texas. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1967. He was a mechanic with DARR Lift Trucks in Ft. Worth, Texas from 1987 to 2004. He was a member of the Altus Cowboy Church as well as the American Legion and Altus Senior Action Group. He also drove the DAV van. Mark loved to read, listen to music, go fishing, and help others.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sherry Brand; and one brother, Max Brand.
Mark is survived by one daughter, Sheila Brand and one son Gregory Brand, both of Ft. Worth, Texas; one sister, Dora Dugan; and two grandsons, Zachary and Matthew
