The Rev. A. E. Maness, pastor of the Methodist Church; the Rev. Luther Anderson, Baptist pastor and life-long friend, and the Rev. W. T. Renfro, pastor of the Methodist Church at Nacogdoches, officiated at the church services. The Masons conducted the services at the cemetery at Ryan's Chapel.
