James Clifton "Cousin Cliff" Holman Jr. was a longtime Birmingham television personality. He entertained children on the popular "The Popeye Show", starting in 1958 till the late 1993. Many children became members of "The Cousin Cliff Clubhouse". He performed five shows a week with 20 to 30 kids per show. That was more than 100 kids per week; 5000 per year. His fan base was huge.

In 1969 Holman moved his weekly show to an Anniston station (in Alabama) where it ran for three years. In 1990, WBRC-TV (Birmingham) brought back a Saturday morning version of "Cousin Cliff Clubhouse," which ran for another three years.

He was a member of numerious organizations, amoungst being The Society of American Magicians; The Lion's Club; The Shades Valley Masonic Lodge; The Greeter's Unit of the Zamora Temple, as well as Former Vestavia Hill's City Councilman.

He is preceded by his son, James Clifton Holman III. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann K.; daughter Lynn Holman Brown; son Kyle Allen Holman.; as well as two grandchildren Allison Shafer Brown and Andrew Clifton Brown.
