Born in Belleville, West Virginia, July 30, 1900, a son of the late Marion and Margaret Smith Jones, he had resided in this area 57 years. He retired June 2 after 43 years as a presser at the Louthan Plant Refractories Division of Ferro Corp. He was a member of IBOP Local 140.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Ethel Campbell Jones; a step-son John Clutter of East Liverpool, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Harry Matheny of Lisbon, and Mrs. George Matheny of Tampa, Fla.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home. The Rev. Ronald Rearic of Boyce Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday night.
