Mrs. Nora Jane McNeill, 99, El Dorado Springs, died Monday afternoon at Community Nursing Home, El Dorado Springs.
She was born May 29, 1875 in Dade County, the daughter of Lewis and Sarah Jane (Rector) Dunnaway. She was married in 1897 to Charles T. McNeill, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. McNeill had lived in Cedar County since 1902. She had maintained her own home and was very active in church activities until two and one-half years ago, when her health failed. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Lewis McNeill, Independence, and Robert McNeill, Sequin, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Veva Evans, Kansas City; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Landers, Springfield; eight grandchildren. 12 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ, El Dorado Springs, with Don Willingham, minister, officiating. Interment will be in Brasher Cemetery near Jerico Springs under the direction of Janssens Funeral Home.
