Richard Long, 83, of Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, died Tuesday (July 10, 2001). He was born Oct. 16, 1917, in Beaver Falls, Pa., the son of Orin and Elta Jackson Long. He had been employed by Babcock and Wilcox Tubular Products Co. He is survived by his wife, Ora Falen Long; two sons: Robert Long of South Beaver Township and Charles Long of Alexandria, Va.; four daughters: Barbara Andrick of Darlington Township, Pa., Bonita ‘‘Bonnie'' Casey of Warren, Cheryl Hammer of South Beaver Township and Ruth Zeilenga of California; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Long; two brothers: John and Charles Long; and three sisters: Ruth Long, Marjorie Beatty and Clair Willimet. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today in the Hill and Kunselman Funeral Home, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, Pa. The Rev. Robert Frazier, pastor of Chippewa United Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Entombment will be in Beaver Falls Mausoleum, Chippewa Township.
