Prior to living in Carlisle, she had been a long time resident of Dillsburg. She was born on December 12, 1918, in Shade Gap and was a daughter of the late Lillian and Frank Synder and was the widow of Eugene O. Diven who passed away on January 2, 1989.
Florence was an employee of the Northern York County School District. She spent twenty years preparing meals for the elementary children at the Dillsburg Elementary School and retired to spend time and travel with her husband.
