Mrs. Ila M. Cressy
Mrs. Ila M. Cressy. 92, 3818 Vine Ave., died Wednesday, July 26, 1989, in a Sioux City hospital after a few months illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Larkin Morningside Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today and 11 a.m. Saturday until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cressy, the former Ila May Domina, was born March 21, 1897, in Valley, Neb. She married Ignatius J. Cressy Dec. 31, 1914 in Hartington, Neb. The couple farmed west of Hartington and later near Coleridge, Neb. for many years. They moved to Sioux City in 1952.She worked as a salesperson for Younkers Department Store. Mr. Cressy died in September 1965 in Sioux City.
Mrs. Cressy was a member of Morningside Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include two daughter, Mrs. Bruno (Freda) Hahn of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Mrs. Walter (Althea) Jonas of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Clover Higgins of Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Marie Parsons of Los Angeles, 15 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
