Barnesboro, July 20 – Mrs. Caroline (Glass) Kessler, 87, widow of Isaiah Kessler, died at 11 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John E. Brown of Barr Township, following a lingering illness. Born in White Township, on May 5, 1849, a daughter of Joseph I. and Margaret Glass, both deceased, she had spent 80 years of her life in that township. She and Isaiah Kessler were united in marriage in 1870, her husband preceding her in death by many years. Surviving the octogenarian are two sons, John E. Kessler of McKees Rocks and Mathias Kessler of Wilkinsburg; two daughters, Mrs. John E. Brown, at whose home she died, and Mrs. Elizabeth Goodlin of Commodore. One son, Allen, died three years ago. There are 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Fallentimber U.B. Church, of which the deceased was a lifelong member. Burial in the Beaver Valley Cemetery.
