A native of Livingston, Ky., he served in the army during World War II and was formerly employed as a carpenter with Baker Brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a son, Joe of Franklin; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Linville, Mrs. Anna Spartman and Miss Irene Sams, all of Franklin, and Mrs. Gail Robinson of Middletown; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Elden of London, Ky., and Elmer of Kentucky; and a sister, Alice of Florida.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Unglesby-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday noon until time of the service at the funeral home. -Ohio newspaper 9 Nov 1987
