Mr. Fay Berry Adams of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away on Septemer 7, 2008, at the age of 84 years. He was born in Kully Chaha, Oklahoma to the late Reed and Beulah(Tucker)Adams. He married Helen (Akins)Adams on the 14th day of July 1947, in Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas. Mr. Adams was a United States NAVY veteran of World War II; a member of the Springhill Baptist Church; and a retired carpenter.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Eugene, Morris Reed, Thurman and Raymond Adams.
He is survived by his wife: Helen Adams of the home; three sons: Ronald Adams, Mark Adams and his wife:Patrice, Wayne Adams and his wife: Kellie; three daughters: Shirley Crouch, Paula Hall and her husband: Larry, and Lisa Weaver and her husband: Paul; 12 wonderful grandchildren; 6 precious great-grandchildren-and 1 on the way; his loving church family and numerous other family members, and dear friends.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the Grace Manor Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers were: Nathan Adams, Brandon Adams, Luke Crouch, Josh Weaver, Matthew Crouch, Justin Hall, Zack Hall, Jeffrey Weaver.
Honorary pallbearers were: Bill Mooneyham, Wesley Pickle, Roy Baggs, and Don Shrum.
