Coroner William Telford reported that Mr. Renken complained of chest pains last week but apparently had not been ill Tuesday.
Mr. Renken was married in 1924 to Martha Wallner who survives along with four daughters, Mrs. Maryellen Crosmer, of Spencer, S.D.; Florence and Joann, at home; and Berniece [sic], of Peoria. There are three grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Marie Cordes, of Pleasant Plains and Mrs. Dorothea Helmerichs, of Virden; and two brothers, John, of Auburn, and Louis, of Pleasant Plains.
Funeral services were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Farmingdale with burial in Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
He was secretary of Immanuel Church at Farmingdale for many years.
