The fourth child of Leroy Hudson Allum, 1855-1897, and Sarah Ann Huffman, Mary died at 21 years 10 months 10 days. Already by the time of her death in 1906, two of her siblings had predeceased her: Essie Ora (Allum) McElfish (1873-1895) and Carroll Fulton Allum (1877-1902). The remaining sibling, Anna A. Allum, married Franklin J. Lashley. Born in 1879 Anna lived until 1964.
