Lawrence Journal World, Sept 24, 1918: When Kit was driving his car, he had an accident, colliding with an electric car on a track. His passengers, his wife Nettie, and his brother Hebert Davis died. Nettie and Herbert were buried together, sharing one tombstone.
C.P. Davis survived that accident and sold his dairy farm in 1921. He moved back to Carlisle Co., KY and died there.
