Catherine was brought on a ship from England to New York by her Uncle Timothy? Flaherty during the Irish Potato Famine (1840 to 1850). Her father was afraid that she would starve to death if she stayed in Ireland. Catherine's trip to America was sponsored by some Catholic organization, and she was placed in a private home upon arrival in America. The family there treated her well.
Catherine and her husband, Daniel, are buried at Lagonda Avenue Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio.
Wife of Daniel Lyons.
