Horace L. Henry, Jr., 75, passed peacefully Friday, September 5, 2008, at Hanover Hall. Born July 9, 1933, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Horace L., Sr. and Laura (Lupp) Henry. Mr. Henry attended First United Methodist Church, Hanover. He enjoyed playing bingo and was a baseball fan, especially of the Baltimore Orioles. Mr. Henry was very close to his family and was considered the ''family historian'', keeping track of many names, places, and dates of interest. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Marie Carroll, Marylou Wilson, and Lee Ann Wildasin. A service to celebrate and remember the life of Horace will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. William H. Garrett officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity for viewing will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
