She died after 1880 in the Wilderness District, Nicholas Co. WV. She is buried next to her husband and her unmarried dau Lucy. Some sources say she died on 10 Nov 1854 but in the 1880 census Wilderness District, Nicholas Co. WV she is living with her son, Joseph McDermont Amick and wife, Emaline (Marion) Amick. Catherine's age is 84 and she is listed as mother of Joseph M. Amick.
Their grave markers have not survived to the present time.
