MONROE - John Serano Braswell, 79, of Rt. 3, Monroe, died Thursday in a local hospital. Funeral today 3 p.m. at Mill Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Lawrence McKee of Charlotte, Mrs. Lum Lomax of Monroe, Mrs. K. W. Bullard, Mrs. Julian Harris, Mrs. Leroy Smith and Mrs. W. D. McLaurin, all of Fayetteville; three sons, Vick Braswell of Albemarle, Earl and Donald Braswell of Fayetteville; a sister, Mrs. Corneliu Brooks of Charlotte.
