PIONEER, 83, DIES IN CITY
Calgary Herald – Thursday, November 15 1962
A resident of Alberta for nearly 60 years and of Calgary since 1945, Mrs. Ethel Anna Addeman, 83, died in Calgary General Hospital Wednesday after a brief illness.
Mrs. Addeman was active in community and church affairs and was a member of St. Michael’s and All Angels’ parish in Calgary.
She was born in Wallworth, Wisconsin in Jan. 1879 and moved to Kalispell, Montana with her parents shortly after. In 1895 she married the late Frank Addeman, who predeceased her in Calgary in Dec. 1961.
The Addemans ranched and farmed in the Blackie-Carseland area from 1904 until retirement to Calgary in 1945.
Mrs. Addeman is survived by a daughter and son, Mrs. C. W. (Marjorie) Baker, of Calgary and Spencer Addeman of Garden Grove, Calif.; ten grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel Friday at 1:30 p.m. with burial in Burnsland cemetery.
