 PIONEER RANCHER DIES AT 93
Calgary Herald – Monday, December 4 1961

Frank Addeman, Alberta pioneer rancher, died Sunday morning at the age of 93.
Born in Morpeth, Ont., he moved to Kalispell, Mont. in 1883 where he began ranching. While there he provided beef for crews building the first railroad, and also served as sheriff.
In 1901 Mr. Addeman moved to the Langdon area in Alberta where he owned and operated the Horse Track Cattle Co.
He began farming in the Caresland-Blackie area in 1918. Twenty-eight years later he retired and moved to 422 Crescent Rd. in Calgary, where he lived until his death.
Granite Lodge No. 127 of Blackie recently honored Mr. Addeman for 35 years’ membership in the organization.
He was also keenly interested in all sports and community activities.
Besides his wife Ethel, Mr. Addeman is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Wallace of Blairmore, and Mrs. Marjorie Baker of Calgary; and a son, Spencer, of Flagstaff, Ariz.
He also leaves 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
