Choteau, Jan 5.-Mrs. Frances Rosengren, who was scheduled to renew her oath of office as clerk of the district court here Monday, died at the home of her parents here after a long illness.

Mrs. Rosengren is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Carlson; two sons, Norman, a senior in the local high school, and Harfield; one sister, Mrs. Oliver Maufeth of Farmington; and two brothers, Clarence and Ernest Carlson of Farmington.

Mrs. Rosengren was born at Farmington, Aug. 4, 1897. She received her early education in this county and then attended the State Normal School at Dillon. She was married to Sidney Rosengren in 1915. Seven years later Mr. Rosengren died. The widow prepared herself for a commercial career by attending business college in Great Falls and in 1932 she was elected clerk of court here on the democratic ticket. She was re-elected last November. Mrs. Rosengren was active in local lodge circles, having been an officer of the Order of Eastern Star and the Rebekahs.

Funeral services at the Masonic temple with the Eastern Star in charge. Burial in Choteau cemetery.
