ELKHART LAKE - Fay P. Stark, age 79, formerly of Elkhart Lake, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2004, at the Lodi Good Samaritan Nursing Home, in Lodi, where she had been a resident for the past three years. She was born on March 19, 1924, in Superior, a daughter of the late Oscar and Anna Marie Paulson Johnson. She graduated from Superior High School. On June 19, 1945, Fay was married to Walter Stark. The couple made their home in Elkhart Lake. She had been employed at Sargento Cheese in Elkhart Lake for more than 30 years. Fay had been a member of St. George/ St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake and had sung in it's choir. She was also a member of the Auxiliary of the Kiel V.F.W. post and had sung with the Plymouth Chordaletts for a number of years. Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Skaggs of Milwaukee; a son, Augie (Lin) Stark of Morrisonville; three grandchildren, Monica Skaggs, Jessica Skaggs and Nicole Stark; a great-grandson, Peyton; four step-grandchildren, Pamela (Gilbert) Tyrrell, Jennifer (Kevin) Kiddle, Kevin (Jina) Hochstetter and David Hochstetter; three step-great-granchildren, Emily, Nichole and Allison Tyrrell; two brothers, Ozzie Johnson of Superior and Carl (Nia) Johnson of Germany; a sister-in-law, Millie Johnson of Wisconsin Rapids; and her very special friend, Vince Sippel of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1976; and by a brother, Chester Johnson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at 11 a.m. at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH in Elkhart Lake. The Rev. Daniel Lasecki, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.
