Bonnie Adkins of West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007, at the West Liberty Nursing and Rehab Center, West Liberty, KY, at the age of 89 years and 4 months. She was born on Saturday, August 24, 1918, daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Blankenbeckler.
Bonnie was united in marriage to Vencil Adkins on July 23, 1949. To this union one son was born. She has been a faithful Christian from a young age and faithfully attended Lick Fork Church as long as her health permitted. Bonnie was a loving and caring person, always willing to help anyone.
After the death of her husband Vencil, Bonnie has been a resident of West Liberty Nursing and Rehab Center where they have been so good to care for her, along with Dr. Frederick.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Vencil Adkins; one infant son, Steven Lynn Adkins; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Kelly Perkins; three nieces and nephews, Ann Perkins, Nina Perkins, and Harry Perkins; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tony Adkins, Willie Adkins, Aaron Adkins, Ada Rowland, and Mary Jane Adkins.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Florence Todd of Canton, OH; and nieces and nephews, Bill Perkins and Lois and Hager Arnett; and great nieces and nephews, Charles and Gloria Middleton, Derrick and Debbie Arnett and children, and Lynn and Angie Arnett and children.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2007 at the Potter Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Haney and Rev. Roger Ball officiating. Burial in the Dock Adkins Cemetery, Hwy 589, West Liberty, KY. Visitation at 6 p.m., Thursday at the Potter Funeral Home.
