BOONE, N.C. -- Ronda Glenn Jones, 95, of Newland, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, at Life Care Center in Banner Elk.
Mr. Jones was born May 21, 1905, in Avery County, to the late John and Minnie Trivette Jones. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Vines and Miss Wanda Kay Jones, a grandson, Jeff Trivette, and by five sisters and three brothers.
Mr. Jones was a retired self-employed truck driver and owned and operated a produce delivery service. He was a charter member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Elk Park and the Cranberry Masonic Lodge No. 598.
Survivors include his wife, Goldie Henegar Jones, of Life Care Center, Banner Elk, and six daughters and four sons-in-law, Esther and Troy Trivette, Elizabethton, Tenn., Maxine and Paul Holden, Newland, Ms. Glenda Winters, Kernersville, Brenda and Jack Goforth, Cornelius, Ms. Kathy Stout, Charlotte, and Gail and Larry Ruppard, Boone. Twelve grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Donald Gragg, the Rev. Richard Jones, the Rev. Jim Storie and the Rev. Gary Lawrence officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday. Masonic graveside rites and interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
