Milton Olen James, 59, of Gulfport died Friday, May 3, 1991 in Gulfport. He was a native of Louis and a Coast resident for 12 years. He was also a former resident of Newton. James retired after 20 years in the Marine Corps and was a veteran of Vietnam and Korea. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans in Gulfport and was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen James of Gulfport; three sons, Robert Milton James, Wayne Allen James and Howard Bruce James of California; two daughters, Michelle James Krol and Melissa James Jones of Gulfport; a brother, Cleveland James of Clinton; three sisters, Gladys Roberts of Mobile, AL, Bessie Christopher of Beverly Hills, FL, and Erylene Bingham of Newton; and 11 granchildren [sic]. Services were held May 6 from the Riemann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Gulfport. Burial with full military honors was in the Biloxi National Cemetery.
